🌈 What’s Happening?
Join us to celebrate the incredible queer community this festive season! We’ll be chatting about what brings us queer joy, chatting about Downtown's upcoming plans, and spreading love and positivity. Be one of the first 40 guests and pick up a beautifully screen-printed gift bag, with art, vouchers, and goodies from amazing local queer creatives and organisations.

Knees Up! Is back! Our biggest show to date!

We’re a cabaret-variety-Saturday-night-ITV-at-the-palladium kinda show, and this time we’ve got the full reign of @newtheatreroyal with a full auditorium show full of glitz and glam
Celebrate 5 (formal) years of Downtown Pompey in 2025 with a multitude of local, regional and National talent offering entertainment so light you can spread it on your morning toast.

So many ways to get involved this year with the show:

- Performer/Dancer? We’ll be holding open auditions for our in-house girlband ‘The Syncettes’ (paid of course)

- Local artist wanting to explore comedy/burlesque/drag and looking for a top tier mentor to help create that sickening work? We can sort! Get all the support and resources you need to create Mainstage magic 🪄

- Not a performer? celebrate local superstars or heroes of the community as through nominations We’ll be offering tickets (with pamper packages included!)

Celebrating Pompey in all its glory this is a show is for everyone to put on a sparkly top sing and dance at the top of your lungs!

Here’s a snippet from the ‘Tracing Safe/r Spaces’ Exhibition on Friday, ft work by artist @eddie.stenstrom72 (long form video soon!)
I think it’s worth noting that this exhibition was conceived by Eddie himself who, after starting with us on the project, with mentorship from @pompeydarkroom and support from @theboxgallerysouthsea made this happen. We were just happy to work alongside Eddie and the team to bring it to fruition 🩷
Eddie’s work is as powerful as he is as a person and so we celebrate him, the work he’s created and the collective ability to work with all of us to collaborate and respond to the project in a wonderful way 🎉
Thanks for the 80 people who turned up to the event! Great to see old friends and meet some new friends of Downtown Pompey so if you’re new here 👋 👋 👋 WELCOME! We cannot wait for you to join us again at an event, workshop, show or dinner! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hello babe!

We’re super excited to announce that our recruitment has just gone LIVE! For this round we are looking for two new roles as part of our ‘Storming The Teaccup: Diversifying Pompeys Heritage’ project:
- Youth & Play Artist
- Heritage Exhibition Curator

Working alongside our team, partners and communities were looking for individuals with passion for heritage, community development and those creatively minded.

We’re really excited to continue our expansion within Pompeys Diverse Heritage and bring new members into our Downtown Pompey team! See the website for details.
